Sylvan's Curse

Break the curse. Survive the wilds. Sylvan's Curse (Working Title) is an isometric action-RPG designed for players who want to jump straight into the action. No bloated quest logs, no overwhelming systems to track—just back-to-back, nail-biting gameplay where your positioning, strategy, and survival instincts are your only lifelines.

This current download is an Early Prototype / Demo showcasing the first major section of the game, culminating in a brutal first boss fight.

⚔️ TACTICAL PACK COMBAT

You cannot just button-mash your way to victory. Enemies hunt using a dynamic Pack Mentality, adapting their behavior based on their group. Grunts will actively coordinate against you—flanking, defending, and waiting for an opportunity to strike.

To survive, you must master the rhythm of combat. Enemies can only be damaged when forced into a vulnerable state. Attack recklessly at any other time, and they will dodge your strikes or force a weapon clash.

🧗 PERILOUS PLATFORMING

The world itself is trying to kill you. Navigating the map requires precision as you face down bottomless pits, moving hazards, collapsing walkways, and deadly traps.

☠️ THE CURSE OF SURVIVAL

Your magical abilities—like your ethereal Spirit Slash and your teleporting Blink dodge—are powerful, but they operate on strict cooldowns. You must survive the seconds in between.

Worse, your exertion takes a physical toll. As you fight and dash, your Satiation drains, heavily reducing your combat efficiency. The only way to fill your belly is by consuming the alien fruit scattered across the world. But you are not of this world—eating the fruit staves off starvation, but rapidly increases your Sickness. You must walk a razor-thin line between starving to death and poisoning yourself.

This demo covers the opening chapter, but the full vision for Sylvan's Curse will expand the world drastically. Future updates will include:

📝 DEVELOPER'S NOTE

I created Sylvan's Curse because I often looked at my game library wanting something I could just sink my teeth into—a game with back-to-back gameplay and zero interruptions. I wanted a game where I didn't have to remember exactly what my build was or what quest I was on if I took a few days off. If you are in the mood for pure, challenging, systems-driven action, I made this for you.
